This site is hosted by Linda Dillon, a registered Social Worker in private practice who, for the past 25 years, has worked primarily with addicts and alcoholics in recovery and with family members who wanted to help their loved ones and themselves. Since establishing her private practice in 1995, Linda has not only been able to work with addiction recovery but with people in life recovery.
Theoretical Orientation
Linda works with addictions, using psycho-educational and cognitive -behavioural theories, with an awareness and appreciation of the 12 step recovery process.
In her work on personal recovery, she prefers a more eclectic approach including the theories of C. G. Jung, narrative therapy and the strength perspective. Linda is deeply cognisant of the role played by spirituality and creativity in the healing process.

Curriculum Vitae: Linda Dillon ( M. Soc. Sc. (SW)) is registered with the SACSSP and SAASWIP. She has worked as an addiction counselor for 25 years; has led treatment teams in various Treatment Facilities and has been in private practice since 1995. She is based in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa where she is well known in the recovery community. She is presently linked with The NRGP (National Responsible Gambling Programme).
